Roman numbers

PRINCIPLES OF ROMAN NUMBERS :
·         We use 7 symbols to in Roman Numbers i.e, I, V, X, L, C, D and M.
·         There is no symbol in roman numbers which Represent “0”.
·         In Roman Numbers There is No Place value system.
 I V X L C D M 1 5 10 50 100 500 1000
Rules:
1) In Roman numbers any symbol is repeating then the value will be consist of sum of all symbols value.
Ex: 1) XXX=10+10+10=30
2) MMM =1000+1000+1000=3000
3) DXX=500+10+10=520.
Note:In Roman numbers one symbol does not repeats more than three times in same number.

2) If In given Roman number small value symbol is right. side of the big value symbol then add the values of all symbol .
Ex: 1) XV=10+5=15
2) LXVI =50+10+5+1=66
3)MDCX=1000+500+100+10=1610
4) DCXI=500+100+10+1=611.

3)If in given Roman number small value symbol is left side of the bigv alue symbol then from big symbol value small digit value will be subtracted.
Ex: 1) IV=5-1=4
2) LIX=50+(10-1)=50+9=59
3) XL=50-10=40
4) DCIX=500+100+(10-1)=600+9=609
5) MCXIV=1000+100+10+(5-1)=1110+4=1114
6) CIX=100+(10-1)=100+9=109.
note: I,V does not write before the X,L,C,D and M.

Decimal system: system of numbers in which the base of muber be "10" .it is called decimal sysyem.  (or)
Number system which is restricted from 0 to 9 is said to be decimal system.
Ex: 26       ,12       ,1226
(10)      (10)        (10). etc.

Binary system: system of numbers in which the base of muber be "2" .it is called binary system  (or)
Number system which is restricted from 0 to 2 in which 0 & 1 two digits be used is said to be binary system.
Ex: 10010.        11001
